Redrix’s Estoc still dominates Destiny 2 PvP

Destiny 2's popular PvP event, Trials of Osiris, is still being dominated by one weapon, Redrix's Estoc, despite recent adjustments. A patch released on March 11 aimed to reduce its effectiveness along with other Lightweight Pulse Rifles. However, the changes did not impact Estoc's strong performance. According to DestinyTrialsReport, Redrix's Estoc was responsible for 16% of all kills in Trials, only a slight decrease from the previous week. This shows that it remains very powerful compared to other weapons, easily outpacing alternatives like Tommy’s Matchbook. Other weapons did see more significant drops in usage. Outbreak Perfected's kills fell sharply, and BxR-55 Battler was no longer in the top 10. As a result, players are looking for advice on better loadouts in both PvP and PvE formats. Bungie has a history of addressing weapon balance issues. While no new changes have been officially announced yet, another round of nerfs is expected. However, directly targeting the Estoc may be necessary to effectively balance the game.
