The Cincinnati Reds have hired Brad Mills as their new bench coach, reuniting him with manager Terry Francona. Mills previously managed the Houston Astros and has worked with Francona in multiple roles. Alongside Mills, the Reds announced three other new hires: bullpen catcher James Keller and assistant hitting coaches Alex Peláez and Will Remillard. Eight members from last season's coaching staff will return, including Freddie Benavides as bench coach/field coordinator. Derek Johnson will continue as the pitching coach and director of pitching. Chris Valaika was hired earlier this month as the director of hitting and hitting coach.
