Reelo develops new video app for Bluesky with advanced features and longer content

Reelo is a new video app being developed for the open-source social network Bluesky. Unlike other apps that build on Bluesky, Reelo uses the AT Protocol, allowing for longer videos, filters, effects, and future livestreaming capabilities. Other video apps on Bluesky are limited to one-minute videos and lack advanced features. Reelo aims to provide a more competitive platform with a swipeable video feed and options for monetization, including ads and subscriptions. Reelo will allow users to find friends on Bluesky and optionally share videos between the two platforms. A beta sign-up is expected to launch early this year, with a public release anticipated in March.
