Regal Cinemas has introduced a new collectible popcorn bucket shaped like a sarcophagus for the upcoming film "Nosferatu." The sarcophagus will cost $30.99 with popcorn or $25.99 empty. Sales begin on December 18, ahead of the film's release on December 25. This new item continues the trend of collectible popcorn containers aimed at increasing theater revenue. The trend began in 2019 with a popular R2-D2 popcorn holder from Disney. "Nosferatu" is a remake of the 1922 classic horror film and features a cast that includes Bill Skarsgard and Lily-Rose Depp.
