Religious groups clash over mosque possession in Karachi

Karachi police used tear gas and batons to disperse clashes between two religious groups, Deobandis and Barelvis, over control of Jamia Masjid Allah Wali in Saddar. The conflict involved stone-throwing but resulted in no arrests. An agreement was reached late Saturday night, allowing the Deobandis to hold Taraweeh prayers on the mosque's ground and the Barelvis on the upper portion.
