Remembrance Day ceremonies take place across Central Okanagan
Remembrance Day ceremonies are taking place across the Central Okanagan today. Canadians are encouraged to honor those who have served in the military, with events scheduled in various locations, including Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Peachland. In Kelowna, a parade will start at Stuart Park at 10:45 a.m., leading to a ceremony at the Cenotaph at 11 a.m. The Okanagan Military Museum will also celebrate its 25th anniversary with special hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Other ceremonies include a service in Rutland at Lions Park, a gathering at the Royal Canadian Legion in West Kelowna, and an event at George Elliot Secondary School in Lake Country. Peachland will hold its ceremony at Cenotaph Park at 10:30 a.m.
