Kreskin, the famous mentalist known for his TV shows in the 1970s, has died at the age of 89. His family announced his passing on social media, asking for privacy during this time. Kreskin, born George Kresge, hosted "The Amazing World of Kreskin" from 1972 to 1975 and "The New Kreskin Show" from 1975 to 1977. He was also a frequent guest on popular talk shows. In his 1991 book, Kreskin clarified that he was not a psychic or hypnotist, but a researcher in suggestion and perception. He was inspired to become a mentalist by the comic strip "Mandrake the Magician."
