Rescue dog comforts foster dog on first night
A pet owner named Lauren was surprised to find her dog sleeping outside her bedroom one morning. After bringing home a new foster dog, Chip, the family dog, Chef, decided not to join her in bed. Lauren was concerned but thought Chef might want a change. The next morning, Lauren discovered Chef sleeping near the living room couch. This spot allowed Chef to watch over Chip, who was in a crate. Chef's presence seemed to comfort the new foster dog on his first night away from home. Lauren felt touched by Chef's selflessness and called her a "perfect angel." Chef continues to spend nights in the living room with Chip. This first night showed Lauren how strong their bond would be. She noted that the two dogs have quickly become friends. Chip’s background is sad. He was found by the New York Police Department at a previous home, tied to a radiator with severe injuries. He had to have a leg amputated but has been receiving care from the ASPCA, which has been supportive through his recovery. Chip is now available for adoption through Muddy Paw Rescue. He is expected to grow to be between 50 to 60 pounds. Lauren’s video of Chef and Chip has gone viral on TikTok, receiving over 115,400 views, with many people praising Chef’s loyalty and kindness.
