The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will restart a road resurfacing project in Derry Township next week. This work affects several routes, including Hershey Park Drive, Governor Road, Fishburn Road, and Cocoa Avenue. The project began last year and is aimed at improving these roads. Most of the upcoming work will take place on Governor Road east of Centerview Drive, as well as Fishburn Avenue and Cocoa Avenue. The contractor plans to work overnight, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., starting on March 24, weather permitting. So far, all work west of the intersection of Governor Road and Centerview Drive is complete. The project includes resurfacing, drainage upgrades, and other improvements. The total length of the affected roads is about 5.8 miles. Pennsy Supply, Inc. from Harrisburg is handling this nearly $5 million project, which is expected to finish by May 31.
