Retired British manager killed by Kenyan president's convoy
A 79-year-old retired British bank manager, Edgar Riches, was killed in Nairobi after being struck by a vehicle in President William Ruto's motorcade. He was in Kenya for charity work, supporting local projects. Police have arrested the driver of a support vehicle involved in the incident and launched an investigation into the hit-and-run. A post-mortem confirmed Riches died from multiple trauma. Riches was known for his extensive charity work, particularly with the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development. He had recently won a cash prize intended for a building project in Kenya.
