Retired New Jersey police sergeant dies in snowmobile crash in Pennsylvania

A retired police sergeant from New Jersey, Anthony Desopo, died in a snowmobile crash on Lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania on Friday evening. He was riding with another man when both crashed into the shoreline. Desopo, 55, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other rider was hospitalized with injuries. This incident marks the second death of a New Jersey law enforcement officer in a snowmobile crash in two weekends. Desopo had recently retired and was the vice president of a law enforcement motorcycle club.
