Richard Stanley to executive produce dark thriller "The Palace."
Richard Stanley, known for his work in horror and thriller films, is joining the staff of a new movie called The Palace as an executive producer. The film is directed by Michael Zaiko Hall, who previously made Peter Five Eight. The Palace tells the story of a gambler and his wife who acquire a historic movie theater. As they try to restore it, they face danger, including betrayal and murder. The film is being produced by John Fessler from Side Street Studios and Robin Haworth from Ascent Films. Casting for the movie is currently in progress, and filming is expected to begin in late summer. The Palace will be promoted as “Richard Stanley Presents The Palace.” This film is said to pay tribute to dark thrillers from the 1960s and will offer commentary on the current state of cinema. This project is Hall’s follow-up to his recent film featuring Kevin Spacey, which premiered at the Fantas festival in Portugal.
