Richland County job fair for high school students upcoming
Richland County high school students will participate in a job fair called EmployMEpalooza on April 2. This event is organized by the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development along with Ohio Means Jobs Richland County. The fair will allow students in grades 10 through 12 to present their skills and interests to local employers in a unique "reverse job fair" setting. Instead of employers searching for candidates, students will set up booths to showcase their qualifications. Teachers and mentors are helping the students prepare their resumes and display materials. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center, located in Mansfield. There is no fee for either employers or students, but registration is necessary. Employers can sign up at richlandareachamber.com. For more information, Clint Knight, the director of workforce development, can be contacted via email at cknight@chooserichland.com.
