Richmond footballer Noah Balta charged with assault in New South Wales

Richmond footballer Noah Balta has been charged with assault following an incident at a sports club in Mulwala, New South Wales. Police responded to the scene early Monday morning after a 27-year-old man suffered a head injury. Balta, 25, was arrested at Mulwala Police Station on Wednesday and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has been granted conditional bail and is scheduled to appear in Corowa Local Court on January 30, 2025. The Richmond Football Club has acknowledged the incident but stated it cannot comment further as the matter is now in court. Balta's manager also declined to provide any comments.
