Richmond Tiger Noah Balta charged with assault following altercation

AFL player Noah Balta of the Richmond Tigers has been charged with assault by NSW Police after an incident at a sports club in Mulwala on December 30, 2024. A 27-year-old man was hospitalized with a head injury following the altercation. Balta, 25, was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has been granted conditional bail to appear in court on January 30, 2025. The Richmond Football Club confirmed the charge and stated that they cannot comment further as the matter is now before the courts. Balta recently signed a seven-year contract extension with the club.
