River to open 12 new stores across India

Electric scooter maker River plans to open 12 new stores in India by the end of March 2025. This expansion will bring its total to 25 stores across the country. The company recently opened a store in Vellore, which is a 1,900 square foot facility, in partnership with Mahalakshmi Motors. Currently, River has 13 stores located in cities like Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Visakhapatnam, among others. The company intends to further expand to Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupur, Belgaum, and Pune in the coming weeks. Along with the store opening, River launched its new scooter model called Indie, which is priced at Rs 1,42,999. River is supported by well-known investors, including Yamaha Motor Corporation and Mitsui & Co Ltd.
