RoadCraft innovates off-road simulation with recovery mechanics
RoadCraft is an exciting new off-road simulator set for release on May 20, 2025. Developed by Saber Interactive, the game combines off-road driving with infrastructure-building. Players take on the role of a disaster recovery company, working to restore areas damaged by natural disasters. In RoadCraft, players will build roads, bridges, and power grids. They will face the challenge of navigating rugged terrains while actively shaping the environment. The game features over 40 vehicles, including cranes and bulldozers, giving players a versatile toolkit for construction and transport. During a demo at Steam Next Fest, players could explore three different maps, each offering unique challenges and missions. The gameplay blends driving and operating heavy machinery while managing resources for rebuilding efforts. RoadCraft also includes a co-op mode, where up to four players can work together on large construction projects. The game promises more freedom for players compared to previous titles, allowing for significant terrain alterations. While the demo showed off an impressive balance of vehicle handling and construction mechanics, some technical issues were noted. Visually, RoadCraft offers improved environmental detail and lighting. Players can expect an immersive experience in both solo and multiplayer modes. The game is available for pre-order in two editions: Standard and Rebuild, which include additional content. As excitement builds around RoadCraft, fans of the genre are eager to see how it advances the off-road simulation experience.
