Roadshow promotes tourism development in Chhattisgarh
A roadshow was held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on March 22, 2025. The event was organized by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department (APTD) and the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Forum (APTF). Key guests included Ajay Jain, the Special Chief Secretary for Tourism and Culture in Andhra Pradesh, and Vivek Acharya, the Managing Director of the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board. During the event, Ajay Jain announced plans for an upcoming travel mart in Andhra Pradesh. He shared details about various tourism development projects, including new travel circuits, eco circuits, and upgrades to homestays. Jain also discussed the tourism policies for the years 2025-29 and future trade fairs and conferences. The roadshow featured participation from 20 hotels in Andhra Pradesh and over 50 travel partners from Raipur. This was the first time they engaged in business-to-business meetings and networking sessions. APTF president K. Vijay Mohan emphasized the importance of collaboration between the two states on tourism itineraries focused on Buddhism and tribal cultures. The meeting included a vote of thanks, proposed by joint secretary Jaideep Biswas. Members of the APTF also honored several officials from both states for their contributions to tourism development.
