Robbers steal ₹13 lakh from Mizoram businessman in Cachar

A robbery took place in Bhaga Bazaar, Cachar district, on Saturday afternoon. A businessman from Mizoram, identified as Lallamzwala, was targeted while driving on the Silchar-Aizawl highway. The robbers stopped his vehicle and stole ₹13 lakh at gunpoint. Lallamzwala had traveled to Bhaga Bazaar to sell ginger. After completing his sale, he was on his way back to Mizoram when another car blocked his path. Before he could react, the robbers got out, brandished weapons, and took a bag with cash from his vehicle. Shocked by the incident, Lallamzwala reached out to a local businessman, Tajuddin Laskar, for help. Laskar went with him to the Dholai police station to report the crime. The police took immediate action and began an investigation. They were able to recover the vehicle used in the robbery at Sabaspur, near Silchar.
