A man has been arrested for robbing a pizza delivery store in Colonial Heights. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon at Marco's Pizza. Police say that around 1 p.m., a man entered the store wearing a mask and brandishing a gun. He demanded cash and then fled the scene. The suspect was later identified as 35-year-old Michael Anthony Edmonds from Petersburg. Police reported that after the robbery, he drove away in a vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured during the robbery. Police in Prince George County spotted a car matching the suspect's description on state Route 36. When they attempted to stop the vehicle, it initially pulled over but then sped off towards Petersburg. Police pursued Edmonds until he crashed into another car at the intersection of East Washington and Henrico streets. Edmonds, along with a juvenile and the driver of the other vehicle, was taken to Bon Secours Southside Medical Center for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He is now facing multiple charges, including armed robbery and grand larceny. Additional charges may come from the police pursuit in Prince George County.
