Robbie Keane plays for Tottenham instead of Liverpool Legends

Robbie Keane, the former Liverpool striker, has made headlines after backing out of a charity match for Liverpool Legends against Chelsea. Instead, he played for Tottenham Hotspur Legends against AC Milan, where he scored three goals in a 6-2 win. Keane was initially listed to play for Liverpool Legends. His last-minute decision has raised eyebrows among fans. Liverpool won the match against Chelsea 2-0, thanks to Peter Crouch’s two goals. The 44-year-old chose to represent Spurs, where he had his best playing years, scoring 122 goals in nine years. He commented on his return, saying it was great to score in front of fans and support the Tottenham foundation. Keane's move to play for Spurs surprised some given his earlier commitment to Liverpool. He is not the only Legend who missed the match; Martin Skrtel also had to pull out due to a calf injury. Skrtel shared on Instagram that he was disappointed but enjoyed being back with his former teammates. Other players, including Djimi Traore, were also announced but did not participate.
