Robredo urges Negrenses to support Aquino and Pangilinan
Former Vice President Leni Robredo and Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson urged residents to support former senators Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan during a rally in Bacolod City on March 19. Robredo asked her supporters to rally for the candidates, emphasizing the need for "good people in the Senate." Around 4,000 people gathered at the Paglaum Sports Stadium. Robredo, who is running for mayor of Naga City, expressed gratitude for the past support she received in elections. She encouraged the crowd to not waste their efforts and to continue fighting for their country alongside Aquino and Pangilinan. Robredo also endorsed the Mamamayang Liberal (ML) Partylist, which includes former senator Leila de Lima. De Lima highlighted the importance of Aquino and Pangilinan returning to the Senate, stating they would advocate for the people's needs with integrity. Governor Lacson praised both candidates for their dedication and accomplishments in the Senate. He noted Pangilinan's support for farmers and Aquino's role in advancing educational access through legislation. Lacson emphasized that their leadership has positively impacted many lives. Although Kiko Pangilinan was unable to attend the rally, he was represented by his brother, Anthony. Other politicians, including Senator Risa Hontiveros and Gary Alejano, also joined Robredo and Lacson in supporting the candidates.
