Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony honors late artists and boosts female representation
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday will honor several late artists, including members of MC5 and Kool & the Gang. Only one original member, Robert “Kool” Bell, remains alive among the honorees. This year's class includes Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Matthews Band, and Dionne Warwick, reflecting a shift in recognition towards artists like the MC5 and Judas Priest. The ceremony will take place at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland and will stream live on Disney+. Cher and Mary J. Blige will be present to support the induction, which aims to increase female representation in the Hall. The event will feature performances and appearances from various music stars, including Dr. Dre and Jennifer Hudson.
