Rolls-Royce unveils powerful electric Black Badge Spectre
Rolls-Royce has introduced its most powerful car to date, the Black Badge Spectre. This all-electric fastback features design elements inspired by iconic Spitfire aircraft. The new model is priced from £320,000, which is £50,000 more than the standard Spectre. The Black Badge Spectre combines unique features with powerful performance. It produces 659 horsepower and can reach 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds using a launch control mode called "Spirited Mode." This mode temporarily boosts the vehicle’s power, showcasing its impressive acceleration capabilities. During a test drive on a track in Spain, the vehicle's capabilities were put to the test. Despite the luxury brand's reputation for elegance, the experience was exhilarating, with tires squealing around tight corners. Rolls-Royce aimed to appeal to a bold, adventurous customer base with this 'bad boy' model. The vehicle includes two innovative features inspired by Spitfire engines. The first is the previously mentioned "Spirited Mode," while the second, "Infinity Mode," enhances throttle response and driving dynamics. This mode allows drivers to unlock the car's full power for a more thrilling ride. With its modern and flashy design options, like the striking Vapour Violet color, the Black Badge Spectre evokes the vibrant nightlife of the 1980s. Rolls-Royce has confirmed that the car maintains the brand's signature smooth ride while improving steering control and reducing body roll. The Black Badge Spectre also offers an electric range of 306 to 329 miles. It can be charged to 80% in just 34 minutes using a high-power DC charger, making it a practical choice for luxury electric vehicle buyers. Rolls-Royce's CEO stated that this new model reflects a more rebellious spirit that appeals to unconventional clients, marking a significant shift in the luxury car market.
