Rondale Moore signs with Vikings after injury recovery
The Minnesota Vikings have signed wide receiver and returner Rondale Moore. The team announced the deal on Wednesday. Moore, who is 24 years old, missed all of the 2024 season due to a knee injury while playing for the Atlanta Falcons. Moore is expected to compete for the third receiver spot on the Vikings. Last season, that position was mostly held by Jalen Nailor. The top receivers are Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. The Vikings' previous No. 4 receiver, Brandon Powell, is currently a free agent. Moore's signing is particularly relevant as Addison may face discipline from the NFL due to a drunk driving citation from last summer. While Powell handled punt returns, Moore has some experience in that role. He returned 21 punts for the Arizona Cardinals, averaging 8.1 yards per return. In the past, Moore played three seasons with the Cardinals. He had 135 receptions for 1,201 yards and scored four touchdowns. He was drafted in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
