RSS leader criticizes temple administration in Tamil Nadu

A. Adalarasan, the president of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Southern Tamil Nadu, has raised concerns about the management of temples by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department. He spoke with reporters on Monday about the issues faced by devotees. Mr. Adalarasan criticized the high fees for darshan, or viewing, at many temples. He pointed out that these costs make it difficult for people to worship peacefully. He also mentioned that there are many restrictions that limit the worship experience. Additionally, he claimed that the funds generated by temples are not being used effectively. According to him, this has led to poor infrastructure development and inadequate management of temple assets.
