RSS meeting in Bengaluru to address demographic challenges
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) will hold an important meeting in Bengaluru from March 21 to 23. This gathering is part of their centenary celebrations and will focus on demographic challenges in India. Key topics for discussion include the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). The RSS aims to study ways to address demographic imbalances and national security issues related to illegal immigration and border infiltration. Concerns over attacks on Hindus and temples will also be highlighted. Reports of such attacks have emerged from countries like Bangladesh and beyond. A senior RSS official stated that the meeting will prioritize national interest and security while focusing on these pressing issues. The RSS is expected to explore a long-term population policy to maintain demographic balance in India. Consensus among members is seen as vital for addressing these national concerns. Around 1,500 RSS functionaries, including leaders and representatives from various affiliated organizations, will attend this meeting. The gathering will be led by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and other senior officials.
