RSS questions political motives on delimitation discussions

RSS leader Arun Kumar has raised questions about the motivations behind political discussions on delimitation. He urged political leaders to wait for the official start of the process before engaging in debates. Kumar made these comments during a press conference in Bengaluru. He noted that a meeting was taking place in Chennai, where leaders from southern states were gathering to discuss the implications of delimitation. He emphasized that the discussion should only occur once the Centre has formally initiated the process. During his remarks, Kumar highlighted that no census has been conducted, nor has a law been drafted regarding delimitation. He pointed out that the last major delimitation occurred in 2002 and that any new discussions should only follow the establishment of a new law. Kumar also stressed that trusting each other is crucial for a healthy democracy. He encouraged political leaders to reflect on whether their discussions stem from genuine concern for their region or from political agendas.
