RSS seeks global intervention for Bangladeshi Hindu persecution

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed concern over the treatment of Hindus and other minority communities in Bangladesh. They highlighted the need for global intervention and support for these groups due to rising persecution. During a meeting in Bengaluru, the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) praised the Indian government's efforts to support Hindus in Bangladesh. They urged the United Nations and other international bodies to take action against the violence and discrimination faced by minorities in the country. The ABPS has reported ongoing attacks on Hindu temples, educational institutions, and community gatherings. They emphasize that these acts of violence are not just political but part of a broader crisis affecting the Hindu population, which has drastically declined from 22% in 1951 to 7.95% today. Concerns have also been raised regarding the complicity of Bangladesh's government in this violence. The ABPS insists that certain international entities are promoting instability in the region by creating tensions, specifically pointing out the role of Pakistan and what they call the "Deep State." In response to these issues, the ABPS has called on Hindu leaders and scholars worldwide to advocate for the rights and security of Hindus in Bangladesh. They also recognized the efforts of Bangladeshi Hindus who have responded to these challenges peacefully and collectively. The ABPS remains committed to continuing diplomatic engagements with the Bangladeshi government while urging international organizations to recognize the plight of minorities in the country. They stress the importance of maintaining cultural and historical ties in the region amidst these challenges.
