RTX 5090 graphics card prices decrease but remain high
Prices for the RTX 5090 graphics card from Nvidia are finally starting to stabilize, but they are still much higher than the suggested retail price. Recent information shows that average eBay prices for the RTX 5090 have dropped from around $6,000 at launch to about $4,000 now. This graphics card is part of Nvidia's Blackwell series and has faced serious supply shortages, which caused prices to soar on secondary markets. Initially, some listings went as high as $10,000. Data from eBay shows a consistent drop in prices since the RTX 5090 was released. After its launch, prices fluctuated from the MSRP to as high as $10,000. Between January 30 and March 21, the average price varied by about $1,121, but in March, this variation dropped to around $145, indicating a more stable market. Nvidia is aware of the supply issues and is working to improve availability of the RTX 50-series GPUs. The company hopes that as stock levels increase, prices will come down closer to the MSRP. Nvidia is also partnering with others to enhance supply chains. In Europe, Nvidia has lowered prices of the RTX 50-series GPUs by nearly five percent because the Euro has strengthened against the dollar. The price of the RTX 5090 has decreased by over four percent to €2,229. However, limited stock still makes it difficult for consumers to find these GPUs at lower prices. Consumers are encouraged to keep an eye on official channels for restocks and to avoid buying from scalpers to prevent paying inflated prices. As efforts to improve supply continue, prices are expected to keep declining.
