Rupert Friend joins Chloë Grace Moretz in thriller

Rupert Friend is set to join Chloë Grace-Moretz in the new thriller, The Edge Of Normal. This film is about serial killers and will begin filming this spring. It marks the first English-language project from director Carlota Pereda, known for her work on Piggy. The screenplay was written by Matt Venne, with revisions by Lori Evans Taylor. It is based on a novel by Carla Norton. The film is being produced and financed by XYZ Films, with support from IPR.VC. Vanishing Angle will also produce, working alongside Andrew Deane and Ava Jamshidi. The story follows Reeve LeClaire, played by Moretz. She is still dealing with trauma from being held captive as a teen. When her psychiatrist, played by Friend, asks her to mentor another survivor, she becomes involved in a dangerous game that could bring her back to her past horrors. Rupert Friend is known for his Emmy-winning role in Companion and has been recognized at the Berlin Film Festival for two recent films. He will also appear in upcoming projects like Jurassic World: Rebirth and Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme.
