Russell Wilson responds to Steelers' interest in Rodgers
Russell Wilson recently posted a brief message on social media amid uncertainty about his future in the NFL. The quarterback's message comes after reports that Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has made a decision regarding Aaron Rodgers. Wilson played for the Steelers last season. The team recently hosted Rodgers for a free agent visit. Although no deal was reached, reports suggest that Rodgers is Tomlin's top choice for the team's quarterback position. In response to the news, Wilson wrote, “Relentless Confidence. Don’t ever stop believing in you!” on social media. Fans reacted to his post, joking about where he might go next. Some encouraged him to sign with the Steelers, while others mentioned the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns as potential options. The Steelers are currently seen as favorites to sign Rodgers after he was released by the New York Jets. Meanwhile, Wilson had a decent season, leading the Steelers to the playoffs. However, the team lost their last five games and exited in the first round. If the Steelers don’t sign Wilson, he has other options, including the Tennessee Titans and the Giants. The Giants recently signed Jameis Winston to a two-year deal, but they are still interested in Rodgers. The Browns have also been linked to Carson Wentz and could be looking to draft a quarterback soon.
