Russia accuses Biden of escalating Ukraine conflict with missile approval
Russia has accused President Joe Biden of escalating the Ukraine war by allowing Ukraine to use US-supplied long-range missiles to strike deep into Russian territory. The Kremlin stated this would signify direct US involvement in the conflict. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that such a decision would create a new level of tension. He noted that President Vladimir Putin had previously warned that Western approval for missile strikes would mean NATO's direct involvement. Reports indicate that Biden has approved Ukraine's request to use Army Tactical Missile Systems, enabling strikes up to 300 kilometers into Russia. This policy shift could target around 245 military sites, including 16 air bases.
