Russia has severely damaged about 80% of critical infrastructure in Pokrovsk, a vital logistics hub in eastern Ukraine. Local officials report that Russian forces are now just 7 km from the town, intensifying their attacks. The ongoing assaults have left the town without power, water, or gas, affecting around 13,050 remaining residents. Evacuations are underway, as the population has dropped from over 48,000 in recent weeks. Ukrainian forces are currently on the defensive, having repelled 30 attacks in the past day.
