Russia fires intercontinental ballistic missile for first time in Ukraine conflict, says Kyiv
Russia has launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) for the first time during its war in Ukraine, according to Ukraine's air force. The missile was fired from the Astrakhan region and targeted the city of Dnipro. The missile, identified as an RS-26 Rubezh, has a range of 5,800 kilometers. The attack caused damage to an industrial site in Dnipro and resulted in two injuries. Russia also used other missiles, including a Kinzhal hypersonic missile. This escalation follows Ukraine's use of long-range missiles supplied by the US and UK to strike targets in Russia. Reports indicate that wreckage from these missiles was found in Russia's Kursk region, which borders Ukraine.
