Russia launches intercontinental ballistic missile at Ukraine in significant escalation
Russia has launched an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) at Ukraine, marking the first use of such a weapon in the ongoing conflict. The missile targeted Dnipro in an early morning strike on Thursday, according to Ukraine's air force. This escalation follows Ukraine's recent use of US and British missiles against Russian targets. Russia had warned that these actions would lead to significant escalation in the 33-month conflict. In addition to the ICBM, Russia also fired a Kinzhal hypersonic missile and seven Kh-101 cruise missiles during the attack. The regional governor reported damage to an industrial facility in Dnipro and two injuries from the strike.
