Russia strikes hospital in northeastern Ukraine, killing 10 and injuring 22

Russia has attacked a hospital in Sumy, northeastern Ukraine, killing 10 people and injuring at least 22 others. The strikes occurred early Saturday, with the second attack hitting as first responders arrived, according to Ukrainian officials and the UN. The Saint Panteleimon Clinical Hospital was struck by drones in two separate attacks. All patients were evacuated, and nine nearby buildings were also damaged. This incident follows a series of attacks on civilian facilities in the region. Ukrainian officials noted that attacks on Sumy have increased since August, coinciding with Ukrainian military operations in Russia's Kursk region. The hospital's staff reported that one of the deceased was a nurse.
