Russian strikes kill six and injure 30 in southern and eastern Ukraine
Russian attacks using glide bombs, drones, and a ballistic missile struck southern and eastern Ukraine on Monday, resulting in at least six civilian deaths and around 30 injuries. This marks an increase in strikes targeting civilian areas. In Mykolaiv, five people were killed and a woman injured when drones hit the city. An attack in Zaporizhzhia killed one and injured 21, including a child. A ballistic missile hit a building in Kryvyi Rih, injuring at least eight. Ukraine's intelligence reported destroying a Russian helicopter, while Russia claimed to have shot down 17 Ukrainian drones. The situation remains tense as both sides await changes in U.S. policy following the upcoming presidential transition.
