Russian strikes kill six and injure 30 in southern and eastern Ukraine
Russian attacks using glide bombs, drones, and a ballistic missile have killed at least six civilians and injured around 30 in southern and eastern Ukraine. The strikes targeted cities including Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia, causing significant damage to residential buildings. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted an increase in Russian strikes aimed at civilian areas. He announced plans to enhance Ukraine's mobile units for drone defense and to develop domestic glide bombs to counter the Russian threat. In the eastern Donetsk region, Ukrainian forces are facing pressure from Russian troops, with reinforcements planned for vulnerable areas. Meanwhile, a dam near Hirnyk has been damaged, raising concerns about potential flooding in nearby regions.
