Rybakina defends former coach Vukov after WTA suspension
Elena Rybakina has defended her former coach Stefano Vukov after he was provisionally suspended by the WTA for a potential code of conduct breach. Rybakina stated he never mistreated her during their five-year partnership. Rybakina ended her collaboration with Vukov in August, shortly before the U.S. Open, and recently rehired him. She is currently working with Goran Ivanisevic for the new season and expressed dissatisfaction with public comments regarding Vukov. The WTA has not disclosed details about the complaint against Vukov, who denies any wrongdoing. He is currently ineligible for WTA tournament credentials as the investigation continues.
