Students at Casa Roble Fundamental High School in Orangevale, California, experienced the excitement of landing a jet on an aircraft carrier. The U.S. Navy provided a mixed-reality experience called Strike Group on Thursday. During this event, students engaged in various roles, simulating real-life scenarios in aviation. HM1 Dareil Bihag, a Navy recruiter, described it as similar to a game. “They get to experience taking off and landing aircraft,” he said. The Strike Group experience uses advanced technology to give students a hands-on perspective of Navy jobs. Earlier in the week, the program also visited Rosemont High School. Bihag noted that these activities aim to generate interest in Navy career opportunities. The interactive installations will also be available to the community at the upcoming California Capital Airshow. This initiative highlights the Navy's commitment to outreach and education.
