Saga Origins launches AI gaming at GDC 2025

Saga Origins showcased new AI-powered gaming experiences at the GDC 2025 event. This is part of their Sidekick series designed to enhance how games can be played and experienced. The company announced partnerships with Super Company, OV Entertainment, Didimo, and Northern Lights Entertainment. These partnerships aim to create AI-driven characters, evolve storytelling, and develop in-game economies tailored to players' needs. Rebecca Liao, CEO of Saga, highlighted the importance of these collaborations. She said that by using Saga’s AI tools, they can introduce deeper immersion and better gameplay for both players and game developers. Each partner will utilize Saga's AI technology in different ways. For instance, Super Company will introduce Titanus, an AI character from their mobile game Hero Hunters. This character will interact with players in a more personalized way, making the game feel more alive. Additionally, OV Entertainment plans to integrate AI agents into several of their games to increase interaction and community engagement. Northern Lights Entertainment will use AI agents in their political strategy game, Nebulae, to provide real-time news updates and customize storylines based on player sentiments. Didimo will collaborate with Saga to enhance character creation through their platform, Popul8. This will allow players to design unique digital characters while keeping the overall game style intact. Saga was founded in 2022 and has secured investments from notable companies, including Samsung and Polygon. Their aim is to connect different gaming ecosystems together through strategic partnerships, creating a richer multiverse for players.
