A class 10 student in Ghazipur district was allegedly raped by a teacher during her board exam, according to police. The accused, Janardan Yadav, is the national vice president of the Samajwadi Party Teachers' Wing. The incident occurred on March 1 when the girl went to take her Math exam. Yadav reportedly lured her into a room, threatened her, and then assaulted her. An FIR was filed against Yadav after the girl's uncle reported the incident. He has been charged with rape and violations under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
