Samphran district nightclub raid results in 81 drug positives
NAKHON PATHOM: Officials raided an unlicensed nightclub in Samphran district early Sunday morning and found a large number of visitors using illegal drugs. The operation took place around 3 a.m. at the Neon pub following complaints about drug activities. When officials arrived, they blocked all exits and discovered 212 people inside the venue. During the raid, some visitors reportedly discarded drugs on the floor, including ketamine and methamphetamine. Visitors were subjected to urine tests, and 81 of them tested positive for drug use. This group included 49 men and 32 women. Chaiwat Junthirapong, the director general of the Department of Provincial Administration, stated that the pub's operators appeared to disregard regulations. The venue lacked a proper license, served alcohol outside of legal hours, and sold narcotics. Chaiwat plans to recommend a five-year closure of the Neon pub to the provincial governor.
