Sam's Club introduces new Easter menu item inspired by Starbucks
Sam's Club has announced its Easter menu, which will feature new food and drink options for members. A standout item is the new Member’s Mark Egg Bites, which closely resembles Starbucks’ popular Bacon and Gruyère Egg Bites. Both dishes include cage-free eggs, bacon, and a blend of cheeses, making them high-protein meal choices. Julie Barber, an executive at Sam's Club, mentioned that customer feedback from last year helped shape this year's offerings. The goal is to provide a variety of choices for “feasting and grazing” during the Easter celebrations. In addition to the egg bites, the Easter menu includes options like a charcuterie board, ham, ribeye steak, blueberry and cherry pies, Member’s Mark Mac and Cheese, and carrot cake. More details about these selections are available on Sam's Club’s website. However, there are concerns about pricing due to an ongoing egg shortage linked to the H5N1 bird flu. This has led to rising egg prices across retailers, with the USDA projecting a significant increase. As a result, it's uncertain if the egg bites will see a price hike. Sam’s Club also continues to explore changes in checkout processes. Some customers have reported that Sam's Club might remove traditional checkout areas by the end of the year, pushing for more self-checkout and mobile payment options. The store has not confirmed these speculations but encouraged customers to reach out for more information.
