Samsung certifies 80 models for carbon reduction in 2025

Samsung Electronics has announced that around 80 models in its 2025 TV, monitor, and soundbar lineups have received Product Carbon Reduction and Product Carbon Footprint certifications from TÜV Rheinland. This is the fifth consecutive year for these certifications for the Neo QLED 8K and Neo QLED models. The number of certified products has increased from 60 last year to include QLED TVs this year. Samsung is also working on obtaining certification for its Color E-Paper lineup later in 2025. These certifications assess a product's entire lifecycle, including manufacturing and disposal, to verify carbon emissions. The Product Carbon Reduction certification is awarded to products that show a measurable reduction in carbon emissions compared to previous models.
