Samsung enhances Wallet app with new payment features for Galaxy S25 series

engadget.com

Samsung introduced new features for its Wallet app alongside the Galaxy S25 series. "Instant Installment" offers a buy now, pay later option, while "Tap to Transfer" enables peer-to-peer payments, similar to Apple's system but compatible with various digital wallets. Unlike Apple's version, Samsung's Tap to Transfer will work with linked debit cards and accounts, not just Samsung Wallet. Instant Installment allows users to manage payment plans for purchases at stores or online using Visa or Mastercard. These features will not launch with the Galaxy S25 but are expected to be available in the second quarter of 2025. They will also be compatible with older Galaxy devices.
