Samsung Galaxy A56 offers premium features at an affordable price
Samsung has launched the Galaxy A56, a mid-range smartphone designed for users on a budget. This model brings advanced features typically seen in flagship phones but at a more affordable price. The Galaxy A56 retains a sleek design from its predecessor, the Galaxy A55, with a new camera layout that enhances its look. It has a glossy glass back and is available in three color options: Awesome Olive, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome Light Gray. The phone is also IP67 certified, meaning it is resistant to dust and water. This device features a generous 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate. It offers bright, vibrant colors and visibility even in sunlight. However, it lacks HDR support but has Widevine L1 certification for streaming. Running on One UI 7 based on Android 15, the Galaxy A56 includes smart AI features that enhance user experience. Samsung promises six years of major OS and security updates, making it a long-lasting option. Powered by the Exynos 1580 processor with up to 12 GB of RAM, the A56 performs well for everyday tasks. However, it struggles with high-end gaming and can overheat during extended use. In performance tests, it didn’t quite match up to some competitors. The camera system includes a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultrawide lens, and a 5 MP macro lens. The AI features help capture clear and bright photos in various lighting conditions. Portrait mode stands out, producing flattering images. The Galaxy A56 comes with a respectable 5,000 mAh battery, lasting throughout the day. It supports 45 W fast charging, but a charger is not included in the box. Priced starting at ₹41,999, the Galaxy A56 offers a good balance of design, features, and durability. While it may not deliver top performance compared to competitors like the OnePlus 13R, it prioritizes usability and a premium experience.
