Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge approved for India launch
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone is set to be launched in India soon. The device has recently received certification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), indicating its upcoming release. Reports suggest that the model number SM-S937B/DS, which is believed to be the Galaxy S25 Edge, was also found in the GSMA database, further confirming its arrival. The Galaxy S25 Edge was first introduced at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event in January, and it was later showcased at the Mobile World Congress in March 2025. Although Samsung has not announced an official launch date yet, it is expected to be available in select regions, including India, next month. A South Korean report indicates that Samsung may unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge on April 16, 2025, with sales starting in May. The phone features a flat-frame design and a frosted glass back, with a new rear camera setup. It is thinner and lighter than previous models, measuring just 5.84mm. This smartphone is expected to have a larger display, around 6.6 inches, and will come with a 3,786mAh battery. While the battery is smaller than other S25 models, the Galaxy S25 Edge may attract users looking for a lightweight device with a bigger screen. Additionally, it will feature a 200MP primary camera, similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but will include a 12MP ultra-wide camera and no dedicated telephoto lens.
