Samsung launches 9100 PRO SSD Series in Australia
Samsung has launched its SSD 9100 PRO Series in Australia. This new line features top-level NVMe Gen5 SSDs that use PCIe 5.0 technology. They offer storage capacities of up to 8TB, ideal for tasks like 8K video editing, gaming, and AI projects. Available from today are the SSD 9100 PRO models in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB sizes. The 8TB versions will be released in the second half of 2025. Samsung’s latest products promise speeds that are up to twice as fast as previous models, making them suitable for high-demand users. "The SSD 9100 PRO Series sets a new benchmark for fast, powerful, and reliable storage," said Bojan Jovic, Product Manager at Samsung Australia. These SSDs are designed to handle complex tasks, supporting everything from professional video editing to gaming. The SSD 9100 PRO can achieve read speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s and write speeds of 13,400 MB/s. The drives also deliver better power efficiency than older models, thanks to an upgraded 5nm controller. For users who want extra thermal control, the SSD 9100 PRO with Heatsink is available, featuring a slim profile that fits various devices including laptops and gaming consoles. To help users maintain optimal performance, Samsung includes Magician Software with each SSD. This software allows real-time tracking of important metrics, helping to prevent potential issues. The pricing for the new SSDs starts at $259 for the 1TB model, $419 for the 2TB, and $799 for the 4TB. The 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB models can be purchased now, while the 8TB models will arrive later this year. For installation guides, users can visit Samsung's support site.
